- Warm Hearts, Cold Noses By SSP Pets! Photography: Come join us on Thursday, November 5th at 7 p.m. at Steinbeck’s. A collection of Sarah Sorrentino Photography’s most heartwarming pet photographs, perfect for the beginning of the holiday season. Join us at the opening for a warm dinner, a cold beer and great company. We’ll also be featuring our collection Cards for a Cause – a selection of exclusive custom holiday card designs by SSP to benefit FurKids, an Atlanta area shelter. For every 50 holiday cards purchased from the collection, SSP will donate $50 to FurKids.
Come to the Warm Hearts, Cold Noses opening and book your Cards for a Cause session that night, and we’ll add two complimentary 8 x 10 prints to your package. You can also enter a drawing for a free full photo session with SSP.
SSP Pets! Photography was opened in 2008 by photographer Sarah Sorrentino. Sarah is passionate about pets and photographs, in the words of a client, “cats being cats and dogs being dogs.” She shoots high-end portraits with a photojournalistic feel, and designs hip, modern custom products to show off the images in a fresh and unique way.
FurKids is a cage-free, no-kill animal shelter in the Atlanta area that cares for over 200 cats in their shelter plus dogs in their foster homes throughout the city. They provide a safe, fun, and healthy environment for their rescued pets while working to find loving responsible homes for each and every one. Over 5,000 animals have found permanent homes through FurKids, and they serve as a constant resource to their adopters for the life of the pet. FurKids is also one of the only shelters in the Southeast to provide a specialized room for cats infected with the FIV virus.
- Steinbeck’s Annual Chili Cook-off and Homebrew Tasting:
Please join us on Saturday, November 21st for a day of savory eats and delicious homebrews ideal for shaking off the late fall chill. Steinbeck’s will host our very first homebrew competition and our 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off in the grassy clearing behind Steinbeck’s in Oakhurst Village. Evan and the Boys will be playing and we’re very excited to kick off what we hope will be a tradition for Steinbeck’s, Oakhurst and the Beer Community. Tickets are $5 each and there will be beer specials and plenty of chili to be tasted. If you have any questions, like perhaps entering one or both competitions, please call Steinbeck’s at 404-373-1116. The festivities will begin at 12 noon, so please put it on your calendars and we’ll see you there!
